The First New Generation Selene 58′ Sea Trial
JTM proudly sea trialed the first new generation Selene 58'---Selene-5831 on Dec. 3rd, 2009. Howard Chen and JTM's engineers and staff joined the customers for a three-day sea trail. In addition, the owners of the boatJerry and Mary Nowee, Brad Pilz, the GM of Selene Seattle, and Tony Witek, the sales manager of Selene Seattle were also on board for the sea trials.
The sea trial was conducted meticulously and successfully; Selene-5831 reached a top speed of 10.6 knots. The customers were pleased with the performance of the boat, her excellent stability, maneuverability, and the minimal noise and vibration. The new deep hull (DH) design takes advantage of the larger engine room by incorporating more head room, expanded fuel capacity, greater displacement, and a more stable ride under way. The overall performance, fuel burn, and minimal wake of the new Selene 58 DH achieved and exceeded the expectations of Howard Chen and his team. In addition, the customers were very satisfied with the results of the sea trial and expressed their enthusiasm for Jet Tern and their new Selene during an interview with local media.
