Spirit Arriving at Elliot Bay Marina
Dear Miriam & Patrick,
We are glad to know that “SPIRIT” has arrived Seattle in a good shape. Your four visits were essential for the success of the building process and it is our team’s great honor to have had the opportunity to work with you. We learned a lot from your Naval Architect background and the career of former V.P. of the Boeing Hydrofoil project.
We hope your commission in Selene Seattle will be smooth and you and your family will enjoy the cruising your Selene soon!

Today Spirit was offloaded from the "CMA CGM Alcazar" at Terminal 18 in Seattle and arrived in early afternoon at Elliot Bay Marina, under warm, sunny skies. We boarded and departed for Lake Union via the Hiram Chittenden Locks and arrived at Selene Seattle in late afternoon. We both spent some time at the helm during the all-too-brief trip into the lake. We had a chance to experience one wake from a container ship and were pleased at the way the boat responded.
Spirit has turned out beautifully, and because it was carried below decks across the Pacific, was actually very clean. Spirit will now enter several weeks of dealer prep prior to electronics installation, and it is still our hope to have our first short cruise to Swantown in Olympia for the Labor Day weekend with Roche Harbor Yacht Club.
It has now been nearly 20 months since we committed to purchasing Spirit. The road to today has had a number of twists and turns and we made four trips to China to monitor the construction progress. However, Jet Tern Marine in China has done a superb job of translating our thoughts and dreams into reality. We can hardly wait until we can invite everyone aboard to share those dreams.
Miriam & Patrick
