Selene Debut at Auckland International Boatshow
New Zealand is a small country of just 4 million people. However ‘small’ it may be, the coastline is never far away from each and every New Zealander and perhaps that is the reason why they not only have the biggest boat ownership per capita in the world, but why they do so well internationally in water sports and boating in general.
The Auckland International Boatshow was attended by 20,100 people covering 40,000 sq metres with 230 exhibitors. The biggest exhibitor of the 230 exhibitors present was that of the Yachtfinders Global team incorporating Selene New Zealand, Azimut, Beneteau and Lagoon.
The first public Selene introduction to New Zealanders proved to be extremely popular with many attendees coming to the boatshow just to see the Selene 53 and 40 on view…….obviously the extensive newspaper and magazine advertising had been beneficial!
The attendees were not disappointed even though the queues were long and the sun was hot - the comments were nothing short of excellent. The Selene New Zealand team benefited greatly from the presence of Selene marine architect and CEO Mr. Howard Chen and Sales Manager Ms Daisy Mei allowing the attendees to further discuss the boats on view along with other models and the many design options available.
The end result was more than pleasing for Selene New Zealand who looks forward to a further increase in the number of Selene Passagemakers into New Zealand thus allowing buyers to either enjoy the extensive coastline available on their doorstep, or to explore further internationally.
